DAYLIGHT FILTERS REFLECT INFRARED RADIATION!
The electromagnetic radiation of the sun contains visible light, the invisible infrared and ultraviolet radiation. Normally this radiation occurs unimpeded into the room through the clear glass.
The short infrared radiation is cold and turns into sensible heat when it touches materials that change the wavelength radiation. We call this a long-wave heat. Glass has the physical quality to largely passage the short-wave high-energy radiation (330 – 2500 nm). The transmission value of clear glass is above 80%!
Depending on the glass composition, a small amount reflects without change the wavelength. While a part also get absorbed, changes the wavelength and turns into heat.
Once in the building the short-wave radiation get absorbed through walls, floors and furniture and converted into longwave (sensible) radiation (5000-20000 nm).

The highly reflective outside, reflects the short-wave infrared radiation directly back through the glass. The high-energy radiation off the sun is largely reflected (up to 80%). Therefore, the Daylight Filters prevent the radiation converting into the short-wave (sensible) heat.
In the existing offices and other lounges where cooling or air conditioning is applied, are the outside windows a disturbing factor for the indoor temperature. The uncontrolled factors of the sun cause disruptions in the system.

Our Daylight Filters are made of a metallized foil with a high reflective ability. The biggest part of the infra-red radiation gets reflected to the outside through the glass. Therefore, there is less heat inside. The SolarScreen Daylight filters prevent rising temperatures.
Transformation caused by temperature differences is excluded by the unique base material. Also, the exterior view of the foil is perfect. There is no shrinkage or expansion caused at extreme temperature differences.
